In the CAB First Division Super League Group A encounters on Sunday, both the batters and bowlers dominated.
In the first match, Satyaki Dutta (128), Akash Ghatak (108) and Writtick Chatterjee (51 not out) batted superbly as East Bengal Club posted 351/5 in their first innings at stumps on Day 1. For Bhowanipur Club, Rajkumar Pal bagged two wickets.
In other matches, Barisha Sporting Club's Balkesh Yadav bagged an impressive 6 for 93 as Kalighat Club scored 234/9 in their first innings at stumps. Karan Lal bagged 3 wickets. Shreyansh Ghosh (73) and Sujit Kumar Yadav (54) impressed. Earlier, Barisha Sporting Club posted 227 in their first innings.
Sayan Ghosh bagged 5 for 63 as Calcutta Customs Club were bundled out for 210. Ankit Shukla (63) and Vineet Maurya (53). Earlier, Vikas Singh (91), Gitansh Khela (83), Suvankar Bal (89), Mehul Chaudhary (50) helped Mohun Bagan AC post 374 in their first innings. For Calcutta Customs, Sandipan bagged 4 for 87 while Dilshad Khan claimed three.
Saurabh Singh (122) and Shuvam Dey (65) batted superbly as Kidderpore Sporting Club posted 342 in their first innings. For Town Club, Yash Garg (5-84) impressed with the ball. In reply, Town Club were 183/5 at stumps. Naved Ahmad scored 62. Saksham Sharma (3-32) and Arnab Nandi (2-58) were the pick of the bowlers.
Gaurav Chauhan (88), Kaif Ahmed (78 not out), Ankush Tyagi (74) and Aditya Sharma (61) helped Tapan Memorial Club post 351/3 in their first innings at stumps. Sukhmeet Singh bagged 2 wickets. Earlier, United Club posted 260 in their first innings.
