In the CAB First Division Super League Group A encounters on Saturday, both the batters and bowlers dominated on Day 1.
In the first match, Saurabh Singh (101 not out) and Shuvam Dey (65) batted superbly as Kidderpore Sporting Club posted 294/6 in their first innings at stumps. For Town Club, Yash Garg (2-73) and Mithilesh Das (2-38) impressed with the ball.
In other matches, Chandrahas Dash smashed a brilliant unbeaten 93 while Sumanta Gupta (42) also impressed as Barisha Sporting Club posted 227 in their first innings. For Kalighat Club, Kaushik Maity (5-83) and Sujit Kumar Yadav (4-59) were the pick of the bowlers. In reply, Kalighat Club were 40/3 at stumps. Balkesh Yadav bagged 3 for 10.
Vikas Singh (91), Gitansh Khela (83), Suvankar Bal (89) helped Mohun Bagan AC post 341/7 in their first innings at stumps. For Calcutta Customs Club, Sandipan bagged 4 for 79.
Rishabh Chaudhary (89), Sachin Singh (63) helped United Club post 260. Ankush Tyagi (4-74), Rajat Verma (3-39) were the pick of the bowlers. In reply, Tapan Memorial Club were 42/0 at stumps. Kunal Singh scored 30 not out.
