Barisha Sporting, Mohun Bagan, Kalighat bag easy wins in First Div League

In the CAB First Division League Group A league-cum-knockout tournament on Wednesday, both the batters and bowlers impressed, displaying some dominant performances on the third and final day.
In the first match, Priyanshu Srivastava (224) and Ankit Mishra (6-81, 4-80) helped Barisha Sporting Club beat Calcutta Customs Club by an innings & 90 runs. After bowling out Calcutta Customs Club for 204, Barisha Sporting Club posted 479/6 decl in their first innings. In their second innings, Calcutta Customs were bundled out for 185. Soummyadip Mandal bagged 3 for 41.
In other matches, Gitansh Khera (147), Pradeep Kumar (5-38, 2-55) helped Mohun Bagan beat Tapan Memorial Club by an innings and 16 runs. After posting 341 in their first innings, Mohun Bagan bundled out Tapan Memorial Club for 103. Tapan Memorial, following on in the second innings, were bundled out for 222. Prakash Kumar Roy bagged 3 for 26.
Koushik Ghosh (113), Sujit Kumar Yadav (4-52, 3-74) helped Kalighat Club beat Kidderpore Sporting Club by 9 wickets. Kidderpore’s Shuvam Dey (108, 126) impressed with the bat. After bowling out Kidderpore for 211, Kalighat Club posted 329 in their first innings. Kidderpore, in their second innings, scored 227/9. Pritam Chakraborty and Kaushik Maity bagged three wickets each. Kalighat, in their second innings, chased the target down scoring 112/1. Shreyansh Ghosh scored unbeaten 50.
Lalit Yadav (188, 5-116), Sambit Roy (128), Gitimoy Basu (113) helped Md Sporting Club bagged first innings lead after their match against Town Club ended in a draw. After posting 636/6 in their first innings, Md Sporting bowled out Town Club for 377. Aishik Patel scored unbeaten 101. Md Sporting, in their second innings, scored 74/4 decl. Town Club, in their second, scored 80/2 at stumps.
East Bengal bagged first innings lead after their match against United Club ended in a draw. Agniv Pan (132 not out), Sandipan Das (119) batted superbly as East Bengal Club posted 474/5 in their first innings. In reply, United Club managed to score 341/8, thanks to Arjun Bhardwaj (90). Kanishk Seth and Shreyan Chakraborty bagged three wickets each. East Bengal, in their second innings, scored 108/3 decl. Sourav Paul scored 52.
