In the CAB Second Division League two-day league-cum-knockout tournament on Monday, both the batters and bowlers dominated on Day 1.
In the first match, Arnab Bhattacharya smashed a brilliant 206 while Shohel Malita (169) also impressed as George Telegraph Sports Club post 594/9 at stumps. For Mohunlal Club, Dibyendu bagged 4 for 95.
In other matches, Raju Soren (8-77) helped West Bengal Police Sports Club bowl out Burnpur Cricket Club for 173. Niranjan Raut scored 70. In reply, West Bengal Police Sports Club scored 126/5 at stumps. Sandip Das scored 44.
Shreyom Nandi (146) and Aditya Yadav (124) helped Howrah Sporting Club post 467/8 at stumps. Cricket Club of Dhakuria’s Sayan Das bagged 5 for 107.
Rudraneel Das bagged an impressive 6 for 50 as YMCA (Chow BR) bowled out Bengal Sporting Club for 168. In reply, YMCA (Chow BR) were 116/1 at stumps. Arka Rudra scored an unbeaten 58.
Monomit Mitra (6-123) helped Suburban Club bowl out Jorabagan Club for 265/9. Santraj Maurya (68), Swapnil Jaiswal (66) impressed with the bat. In reply, Suburban Club were 35/2 at stumps.
Tushar Mondal (5-108) helped Wari Athletic Club bowl out Ballygunge Sporting Club for 203. In reply, Wari Athletic Club were 84/3 at stumps. Ayush Rajbhar scored unbeaten 65.
Paramjit Singh (5-62), Sk Siddik (3-52) helped Taltala Institute bowl out Sahapur Sporting Club for 207. Shriwats Singh scored 61. In reply, Taltala Institute were 40 for no loss at stumps.
Debarun Biswas (132) batted superbly along with Saikat Bala (70) as Vijay Sports Club posted 431. Soubhagya Sundar Pakreh bagged 4 for 84. In reply, Balak Sangha were 17 for no loss at stumps.
Joydeb Nath scored a fine 122 while Viranca Poddar (62) impressed as Calcutta Parsee Club posted 283. Vikash Meena bagged an impressive 6 for 83. In reply, Aurora Athletic Association were 33/1 at stumps.
Bhupinder Singh (5-86), Priyankar Mukherjee (4-70) helped International Club bowl out Bansdroni Young Bengal Sporting Association for 166. In reply, International Club were 99/6 at stumps. Sasanka Das bagged 4 for 29.
Subhadip Barman (60), Manish Singh Rawat (48) helped Behala Friends Union Club post 328. Aditya Thakur and Sachin Kumar Singh bagged three wickets each. In reply, White Border Club were 12/2 at stumps.
Sourav Kumar Prasad (117) and Ankit Kumar Pandey (51) helped Taltala Ekata Sangha post 362. Rakesh Mahata bagged 4 for 91. In reply, Calcutta Cricket Club were 22/2 at stumps.
