impress in First Div League meet

In the CAB First Division League Group A league-cum-knockout tournament on Monday, both the batters and bowlers impressed, displaying some dominant performances on Day 1.
In the first match, Gitansh Khera smashed a brilliant unbeaten 141 off 141 balls as Mohun Bagan AC posted 320/6 at stumps. For Tapan Memorial Club, Rajat Verma (3-73), Argha Sengupta (2-70) impressed with the ball.
In other matches, Sambit Roy (128), Gitimoy Basu (113) and Lalit Yadav (90 not out) batted superbly as Md Sporting Club posted 375/4 at stumps. For Town Club, Yash Garg bagged two wickets.
Ankit Mishra bagged an impressive 6 for 81 as Barisha Sporting Club bowled out Calcutta Customs Club for 204. Nuruddin Mondal scored 59. In reply, Barisha Sporting Club were 52 for no loss at stumps.
Shuvam Dey smashed a brilliant 108 while Badal Singh Balyan scored 55 as Kidderpore Sporting Club scored 211. Kaushik Maity (4-83) and Sujit Kumar Yadav (4-52) impressed with the ball. In reply, Kalighat Club were 59/2 at stumps.
Sandipan Das (68 not out), Akash Ghatak (54), Sourav Paul (53), Ayan Gupta (50) helped East Bengal Club post 277/4 at stumps. For United Club, Irshad Alam bagged 2 for 59.
