Suraj shines with 11 wickets for Bengal against Haryana

On a day when Bengal's Ranji Trophy knockouts qualification took a body blow, Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal's impressive 11 wickets in the match against Haryana was the only consolation at the Bengal Cricket Academy in Kalyani on Saturday.
After bagging 6 for 46 in the first innings, Suraj delivered once again in the second, claiming 5 for 92 to end the match with a 11-wicket haul.
While Suraj was superb with the ball, the batters found the going tough once again as Bengal went down to Haryana by 283 runs on the third day.
Earlier after bowling out Haryana for just 157, Bengal scored 125 to hand a vital first innings lead.
In their second innings, Haryana scored 336 to hand a tough target to Bengal.
Bengal in their second innings, were bowled out for 85. Wriddhiman Saha (25 not out) and debutant Ankit Chatterjee (21) were the top-scorers.
For Haryana, Anshul Kamboj and Anuj Thakral bagged four wickets each.
