Abishek, Ankit impress for Bengal as Haryana
take Day 2 honours

On a rather challenging day for the Bengal batters, it was Abishek Porel (31 off 17) and debutant Ankit Chatterjee (29 off 77) who stood out against Haryana in the Ranji Trophy clash at the Bengal Cricket Academy, Kalyani on Friday.
At stumps on Day 2, Haryana were 158/2 in their second innings with a vital lead of 190 runs.
Earlier, after bowling out Haryana for 157 in their first innings, Bengal batsmen had an off day in office as the home side were bowled out for 125.
While the others batters had a tough day, Abishek, Ankit, Sudip Kumar Gharami (20) and Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal (13) chipped in with crucial runs.
For Haryana, Anuj Thakral bagged 6 for 31.
