Bengal go down to Mumbai in quarterfinals of Women’s U-23 T20 Trophy

Bengal went down to Mumbai by 53 runs in the quarterfinals of the Women’s Under-23 T20 Trophy in Trivandrum on Saturday.
Despite going down in the final, the U-23 team displayed a dominant performance in the entire tournament with both the batters and bowlers stepping up.
Batting first, Mumbai scored 152/2 in 20 overs. Dhara Gujjar bagged 2 for 33. In reply, Bengal scored only 99 in 17.1 overs. Bristi Maji top-scored with 37 runs.
