In the CAB Second Division League two-day encounters on Saturday, both the batters and bowlers dominated.
In the first match, Triparna Samanta (6-57), Rajesh Mondal (91) helped Sarat Samity beat Albert Sporting Club by 35 runs. Sarat Samity scored 283. In reply, Albert Sporting Club scored 248. Arijit Dutta scored 87.
In other matches, Satyam Patra (306), Sk Abdul Rousan (4-88) helped Cossipore Club beat Bata Sports Club by 169 runs. Cossipore Club posted 562. In reply, Bata Sports Club scored 393. Ansh Poddar scored a fine unbeaten 167.
Saugata Mal (5-36), Arghyaa Ghosh (4-65), Soham Manna (120), Kamalesh Adak (86) helped Mauri Sporting Club beat Bantra Cricket Club by 157 runs. Mauri Sporting Club posted 340/8. In reply, Bantra Cricket Club scored 183.
Najeebul Khan (4-58), Souvik Dutta (121) helped Howrah Union beat Satya Sandhi by 65 runs. Howrah Union posted 279. In reply, Satya Sandhi scored 214. Arnav Priyadarshi (99) and Priyanshu Aryan (60).
Isolt Roy (3-53), Neelotpal Bauri (56, 3-50) helped Abasar beat Friends Sporting Union by 5 runs. Abasar scored 294/9. In reply, Friends Sporting Union scored 289.
Partha Kundu bagged 6 for 69 as Narkeldanga Sir Gooroodas Institute beat Excelsiors Club by 4 wickets. Akash Yadav (60) helped Excelsiors Club score 191. In reply, Narkeldanga Sir Gooroodas Institute scored 192/6. Bivanshu scored 58.
Arnab Kuila (4-74), Arnendu Sarkar (89), Raj Kumar Kamti (63) helped WB Association of the Deaf beat Calcutta Rangers by 140 runs. WB Association of the Deaf posted 381/9. In reply, Calcutta Rangers scored 241. Amman Siddiqui scored a fine 124.
