Anas (115), Arijit (113), Anuj (88) impress in 1st Div League Two-Day meet

In the CAB First Division League two-day encounter on Saturday, both the batters and bowlers impressed.
In the first match, Arijit Goswami (113 not out), Jay Goyal (64) helped Belgachia United Club post 282/9 at stumps on Day 1. Bhukailash Sporting Club’s Anshuman Pandey bagged 3 for 96.
In other matches, Sudhanshu Verma (8-60), Aqib Ansari (51) helped Paikpara Sporting Club beat Ballygunge United Club by 2 wickets. Ballygunge United Club scored 190. Paikpara Sporting Club scored 192/8.
Anuj Kumar Singh (88 not out), Ankit Dane (79) helped Shibpur Institute beat Kolkata Union Sporting Club by 7 wickets. Kolkata Union Sporting Club posted 223. Ravi Yadav (4-55) and Narayan Rana (3-71) impressed. In reply, Shibpur Institute scored 225/3.
Viraj Krishna (151), Akshay Sain (3-47) helped Aryan Club beat Aikya Sammilani by 66 runs. Aryan Club posted 353/6. In reply, despite a fine 115 by Anas Ali Khan, Aikya Sammilani fell short scoring 287.
