In the CAB First Division Super League Group A encounter on Friday, both the batters and bowlers dominated.
In the first match, Md. Sporting Club bagged first innings lead after their match against Kalighat Club ended in a draw. Md. Sporting Club posted 326 in their first innings. In reply, Kalighat Club scored 177/9. Vaibhav Yadav bagged 6 for 50. Md. Sporting, in their second innings, scored 563/3. Aditya Purohit (143 not out) and Lalit Yadav (166 not out) impressed.
In other matches, Avilin Ghosh (112) and Shantanu (64) helped Mohun Bagan AC post 362/8 in their first innings. For East Bengal, Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal bagged 6 for 98. In reply, East Bengal were 180/5 at stumps on Day 2. Writtick Chatterjee scored fine 71. Vikas Singh bagged 2 for 37.
Bhowanipur Club bagged first innings lead after their match against United Club ended in a draw. Bhowanipur Club posted 485/8 in their first innings. In reply, United Club scored 290. Rahul Tomar scored 66. Pradipta Pramanick bagged 3 for 80, Rajkumar Pal claimed 4 for 51. Bhowanipur, in their second innings, scored 219/9. Shakir Habib Gandhi scored 59. Irshad Alam bagged 4 for 87.
Tapan Memorial Club bagged first innings lead after their match against Barisha Sporting Club ended in a draw. Tapan Memorial Club posted 457 in their first innings. In reply, Barisha Sporting Club scored 318. Prabhat Maurya scored 88. Ramesh Prasad bagged 5 for 92. Tapan Memorial, in their second innings, scored 284/3. Gaurav Chauhan (102 not out) and Kaif Ahmed (100 not out).
Kidderpore Sporting Club beat Calcutta Customs Club by 8 wickets. After bowling out Calcutta Customs Club for 174 in their first innings, Kidderpore Sporting Club posted 189. Calcutta Customs Club scored 121 in their second innings. Kidderpore chasing the target scored 107/2. Uvais Ahmad scored 47 not out.
