Dominant Bengal enter quarterfinals
of Women’s U-23 T20 Trophy

Bengal stormed into the quarterfinals of the Women’s Under-23 T20 Trophy after a dominant six-wicket victory over Madhya Pradesh in the pre-quarterfinals in Trivandrum on Thursday.
Batting first, Madhya Pradesh managed only 91/8 in 20 overs. For Bengal, Sasthi Mondal (3-14), Piyali Ghosh (2-25), Shreya Karar (1-5) and Sujata Dey (1-17) were superb with the ball.
In reply, Dhara Gujjar (43 not out off 50), Priti Mondal (29) helped Bengal chase down the target, scoring 94/4 in 16 overs.
Mumbai next face Mumbai in the last-eight clash on Saturday.
