In the CAB First Division Super League Group A encounter on Thursday, both the batters and bowlers dominated.
In the first match, Avilin Ghosh scored a fine 112 off 204 balls along with Shantanu (64) as Mohun Bagan AC posted 271/6 in their first innings at stumps on Day 1 against East Bengal in the high-voltage derby. For East Bengal, Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal bagged 4 for 83.
In other matches, Abhishek Raman (151) and Arindam Ghosh (142 not out) helped Bhowanipore Club post 485/8 in their first innings. Sukhmeet Singh bagged 4 for 115. In reply, United Club were 223/6 at stumps on Day 2. Rahul Tomar scored 66. Pradipta Pramanick bagged 3 for 63.
Kunal Singh (133), Gaurav Chauhan (119) helped Tapan Memorial Club post 457. Ankit Mishra bagged 7 for 147. In reply, Barisha Sporting Club were 218/6 at stumps on Day 2. Kazi Junaid Saifi (55) and Priyank Patel (52) impressed. Prayas Ray Barman bagged 3 for 46.
Gitimoy Basu (111), Sambit Roy (50) helped Md. Sporting Club post 326. Kaushik Maity bagged 6 for 92. In reply, Kalighat Club were 128/4 at stumps on Day 2. Vaibhav Yadav bagged 3 for 35.
After bowling out Calcutta Customs Club for 174 in their first innings, Kidderpore Sporting Club posted 189. Sandipan (4-75), Nuruddin Mondal (3-66) and Dilshad Khan (3-26) impressed. In reply, Calcutta Customs Club scored 121 in their second innings on Day 2. Akhilesh Yadav bagged 4 for 36, Deepak Punia claimed 3 for 31.
