In the Inter District Under-18 two-day league-cum-knockout tournament on Thursday, both the bowlers and batters dominated on Day 1.
In the first match, Arman Shah (283 off 176) and Snehendu Chandra (164) batted superbly as Howrah DSA posted 699. Ayushman Pathak (3-106), Yash Chatterjee (3-158) impressed with the ball. In reply, Malda DSA were 8/0 at stumps.
In other matches, Sumit Yadav (8-54) was superb with the ball while Adarsha Khayra (33 not out) impressed as Burdwan DSA beat Birbhum DSA by 8 wickets. Batting first, Birbhum DSA were bundled out for 92. In reply, Burdwan DSA scored 94/2.
Bishal Bagchi (128 off 146) helped Nadia DSA post 368. Partha Sarathi Goswamy bagged 3 for 49. In reply, Manbhum SA were 37/3 at stumps.
Hrishikesh Sardar (3-8), Ayush Roy (55 not out) helped South 24 PGS DSA beat Coochbehar DSA by 9 wickets. Batting first, Coochbehar DSA were bundled out for 68. In reply, South 24 PGS DSA scored 69/1.
Sahil Mondal (56), Ayush Kumar Saha (49) helped Hooghly DSA post 307/9. Uttar Dinajpur DSA’s Rejuan Ansari bagged 4 for 104.
Koustav Ghosh (93), Shivam Jha (78), Anand Das (77), Samar Roy (52) helped Jalpaiguri DSA post 347. Aditya Sarkar bagged 4 for 114. In reply, Chandernagore SA were 7/3 at stumps.
