In the CAB First Division Super League Group A encounter on Wednesday, the batters dominated the bowlers on Day 1.
In the first match, a dominant batting display by Abhishek Raman (151) along with Arindam Ghosh (67 not out) and Shakir Habib Gandhi (45) as Bhowanipore Club posted 341/5 in their first innings at stumps. Sukhmeet Singh bagged 2 for 75.
In other matches, Kunal Singh smashed a brilliant 133 while Aditya Sharma (83), Gaurav Chauhan (72 not out) and Prayas Ray Barman (58 not out) impressed as Tapan Memorial Club scored 360/4 at stumps. For Barisha Sporting Club, Karan Lal and Ankit Mishra bagged two wickets each.
Gitimoy Basu (88 not out), Lalit Yadav (48), Aditya Purohit (43) helped Md. Sporting Club post 232/5 at stumps. Kalighat Club’s Kaushik Maity bagged 2 for 69.
Roshan Singh (4-46), Arnab Nandi (3-15), Saksham Sharma (2-65) helped Kidderpore Sporting Club bowl out Calcutta Customs Club for 174. Akshray Jha scored 39. In reply, Kidderpore Sporting Club were 93/3 at stumps.
