Bengal storm into pre-quarterfinals
of Women’s U-23 T20 Trophy

Bengal stormed into the pre-quarterfinals of the Women’s Under-23 T20 Trophy after a dominant nine-wicket victory over Sikkim in Raipur on Sunday.
Bengal with four wins from five games finished second in Group C with 16 points. Bengal will next face Madhya Pradesh on January 16 in the pre-quarters.
Batting first, Sikkim scored only 55/7 in 20 overs. Sujata Dey, Jhumpa Roy, Sushmita Ganguly, Piyali Ghosh, Shreya Karar bagged one wicket each.
In reply, Bengal went over the line comfortably scoring 57/1 in 6 overs. Sujata (26), Bristi Maji (19 not out) and Sneha Gupta (10 not out) impressed.
