In the CAB Second Division League two-day league encounters on Sunday, both the batters and bowlers dominated on Day 2.
In the first match, Binit Debnath (111) and Arghyaa Ghosh (105) helped Mauri Sporting Club beat Central Calcutta Sporting Club by 4 wickets. Debashish Karmakar (151), Ashwin Pal (100) helped Central Calcutta Sporting Club post 377/8. In reply, Mauri Sporting Club scored 381/6.
In other matches, Raheel Ghorai (157 not out), Md Makshud Ali (85), Sayed Ayaan Ali (3-49) helped Narkeldanga Sir Gooroodas Institute beat WB Association of the Deaf by 30 runs. Narkeldanga Sir Gooroodas Institute posted 349. In reply, despite brilliant knocks by Farhee Akhter (132) and Ansh Sinha (110), WB Association of the Deaf fell short scoring 319/7.
Indrajit Orang (116 not out), Harsh Sharma (51) helped Burnpur Cricket Club beat Jorabagan Club by 3 wickets. Jorabagan Club posted 246. In reply, Burnpur Cricket Club scored 247/7.
Bishal Roy Choudhury (163), Sandip Das (108), Biswajit Dey (5-90), Hrishikesh Sardar (5-60) helped West Bengal Police Sports Club beat Ballygunge Sporting Association by 227 runs. West Bengal Police Sports Club posted 502/9. In reply, Ballygunge Sporting Association scored 275. Krish Agarwal scored 88.
Sourav Ganguli (55), Ayaz Uddin Siddik (47) helped Excelsiors Club beat Bata Sports Club by 6 wickets. Bata Sports Club posted 233. In reply, Excelsiors Club scored 237/4.
Anubhab Chatterjee (3-17), Sourav Poddar (3-26) helped Bantra Cricket Club beat Cossipore Club by 322 runs. Arpan Aich (75), Mikael Roy (73) helped Bantra Cricket Club post 405/9. In reply, Cossipore Club scored just 83.
