In the CAB First Division League two-day encounters on Saturday, the bowlers dominated on Day 1, displaying some outstanding performances.
In the first match, Priyanshu Gautam (7-41) helped Ballygunge United Club beat Aikya Sammilani by 6 wickets. Batting first, Aikya Sammilani scored 78. In reply, Ballygunge United Club scored 79/4.
In other matches, Bapi Manna bagged 7 for 67 as Aryan Club bowled out Kumartuli Institute for 235 at stumps. Sandesh Drugwar scored 56.
Karan Singh (5-38) helped Dakshin Kalikata Sansad bowl out Kolkata Union Sporting Club for 178. Somen Mahanti scored 52. In reply, Dakshin Kalikata Sansad were 77/3 at stumps. Debashish Samantray scored 42.
Anshuman Pandey (59) and Abhishek Yadav (53) helped Bhukailash Sporting Club post 275. Debtanu Baidya (4-63) and Soumarup Mondal (3-70) impressed. In reply, Police Athletic Club were 7/1 at stumps.
Akshay Dullarwar (84) helped Belgachia United Club post 216. Rahul Prasad (4-56) and Hertinder Singh Gill (3-49) impressed. In reply, Tollygunge Agragami were 37/2 at stumps.
