Dominant Bengal script third
victory in Women’s U-23 T20 Trophy

A dominant all-round performance helped Bengal outclass Arunachal Pradesh by 8 wickets to bag their third victory in the Women’s Under-23 T20 Trophy on Friday.
After four matches, Bengal with three wins have 12 points in Group C. Bengal face Sikkim in their final group match on Sunday.
Batting first, Arunachal Pradesh lost wickets at regular intervals and scored only 42/8 in 20 overs. Piyali Ghosh bagged 2 for 8 while Sujata Dey, Jhumpa Roy, Sushmita Ganguly, Sneha Gupta and Shreya Karar bagged one each.
In reply, Bengal went over the line easily, scoring 45/2 in 5.1 overs. Sujata (14), Bristi Maji (12 not out) and Priti Mondal (11 not out) impressed.
