Shami, Mukesh, Abishek shine but Bengal go down in Vijay Hazare pre-quarters

Bengal went down to Haryana by 72 runs in the pre-quarterfinals of the Vijay Hazare Trophy match in Vadodara on Thursday.
Batting first, Haryana scored 298/9 in 50 overs.
Mohammad Shami (3-61), Mukesh Kumar (2-46) impressed while Pradipta Pramanik, Sayan Ghosh, Kaushik Maity and Karan Lal bagged a wicket each.
In reply, despite fine knocks by Abishek Porel (57), Sudip Kumar Gharami (36) and Anustup Majumdar (36), Bengal fell short of the target, scoring 226 in 43.1 overs.
