In the CAB Second Division League two-day encounters on Friday, both the batters and bowlers dominated on the second and final day.
In the first match, Sparsh Mimani (103 not out), Adreet Das (6-47), Kishan Singh (68) helped Amateur Cricket Club beat Satya Sandhi by 7 wickets. Amateur Cricket Club bowled out Satya Sandhi for 231. In reply, Amateur Cricket Club scored 232/3.
In other matches, Ibrahim (103 not out), Anweshan Nath (76) helped Victoria Sporting Club beat Abasar by 8 wickets. Abasar posted 206. In reply, Victoria Sporting Club scored 210/2.
Sayan Mondal (6-38), Pratip Roy (4-32) helped Bantra Cricket Club beat Central Calcutta Sporting Club by 105 runs. Bantra Cricket Club scored 198. In reply, Central Calcutta Sporting Club were bundled out for 93.
Calcutta University Institute’s Shubham K Jaisawal (102) and Ariadaha Sporting Club’s Harihar Sarkar (4-58) impressed as the match ended in a tie. Tushar Yadav (68 not out) starred with the bat. Shreyam Nandy (93) helped Ariadaha Sporting Club post 273. In reply, Calcutta University Institute also scored 273.
Satender Singh (200), Sharvil Pandit (3-41) and Najeebul Khan (3-70) helped Howrah Union beat Sarat Samity by 153 runs. Howrah Union posted 371. In reply, Sarat Samity scored 218. Ayush Gupta scored 77.
Bivanshu (176), Sounak Nandi (3-46) helped Narkeldanga Sir Gooroodas Institute beat Friends Athletic Club by 139 runs. Narkeldanga Sir Gooroodas Institute posted 351/7. In reply, Friends Athletic Club scored 212.
Samrat Chakraborty (159), Ankan (5-50) helped Excelsiors Club beat Cossipore Club by 271 runs. Excelsiors Club scored 425/7. In reply, Cossipore Club scored 154.
Md Alamgir (102), Shreeyesh Shrivastava (4-63) helped Albert Sporting Club beat Bani Niketan Sports Club by 10 runs. Albert Sporting Club posted 222. In reply, Bani Niketan Sports Club scored 212.
Piyush Karan (3-30), Afnan Molla (3-26) helped Bata Sports Club beat WB Association of the Deaf by 159 runs. Bata Sports Club scored 266. In reply, WB Association of the Deaf were bundled out for 107.
