In the CAB Second Division League two-day encounters on Thursday, both the batters and bowlers dominated on Day 1.
In the first match, Satender Singh scored a brilliant 200 off 165 balls as Howrah Union posted 371. Meetul Sah bagged 4 for 117. In reply, Sarat Samity were 16/1 at stumps.
In other matches, Bivanshu scored a brilliant unbeaten 176 as Narkeldanga Sir Gooroodas Institute posted 351/7. Anurag Viswakarma (3-110) and Vilas Joshi (3-119) impressed with the ball. In reply, Friends Athletic Club were 38/1 at stumps.
Samrat Chakraborty (159), Sujit Soren (75), Ayaz Uddin Siddik (67), Sourav Ganguli (53) helped Excelsiors Club score 425/7 at stumps against Cossipore Club.
Adreet Das (6-47) were superb with the ball as Amateur Cricket Club bowled out Satya Sandhi for 231. Sk Chaman Ali scored 45. In reply, Amateur Cricket Club were 54/0 at stumps.
Md Alamgir (102) helped Albert Sporting Club post 222. Aniruddha Aich (4-19) impressed with the ball. In reply, Bani Niketan Sports Club were 58/2 at stumps.
Shreyam Nandy (93) helped Ariadaha Sporting Club post 273. Tushar Yadav was the pick of the bowlers bagging 2 for 30. In reply, Calcutta University Institute were 1/0 at stumps.
Neelotpal Bauri (83) and Anindra Nath Ray (54) helped Abasar post 206. Debojyoti Chakraborty (4-27) impressed with the ball. In reply, Victoria Sporting Club were 71/2 at stumps.
Tapan Maity (4-52), Dipanjan Halder (3-47), Akash Sikder (2-36) helped Central Calcutta Sporting Club bowl out Bantra Cricket Club for 198. In reply, Central Calcutta Sporting Club were 71/5 at stumps. Sayan Mondal bagged 3 for 26.
Piraj Sk (4-63), Raj Sagar (4-69) helped WB Association of the Deaf bowl out Bata Sports Club for 266. Shubham Kumar Prasad scored 55. In reply, WB Association of the Deaf were 42/7 at stumps. Afnan Molla bagged 3 for 13.
