In the CAB Second Division League two-day encounters on Tuesday, both the batters and bowlers dominated on Day 2.
In the first match, Pradunya Sarkar scored a brilliant unbeaten 203 off 146 balls while Asparsh Singh bagged 4 for 45 as Behala Friends Union Club beat National Athletic Club by 51 runs. Behala Friends Union Club scored 488/6. In reply, despite superb knocks by Subhadeep Das Mahapatra (145) and Kamal Hassan Mondal (95), National Athletic Club fell short scoring 437/9.
In other matches, Dipanshu Sarkar (6-114), Krishanu Bhattacharjee (81) and Subhajit Naskar (80) helped Star Sporting Club beat South Suburban Club by 21 runs. Star Sporting Club posted 337. In reply, despite fine knocks by Shailesh (105) and Tarun Verma (73), South Suburban Club fell short scoring 316.
Souvik Mitra (4-61), Sourav Kumar Prasad (104), Ashish Yadav (51) helped Taltala Ekata Sangha beat Measurers Club by 131 runs. Taltala Ekata Sangha posted 299/8. In reply, Measurers Club scored 168.
Abhijoy Saha (59), Samadrito Biswas (5-37), Suraj Karmakar (4-50) helped Baranagar Sporting Club beat YMCA (Chow BR) by 2 wickets. YMCA (Chow BR) scored only 170. In reply, Baranagar Sporting Club scored 173/8. Joy Das bagged 3 wickets.
Abhijit Sen (4-23), Rakesh Gond (3-29), Soubhagya Sundar Pakreh (60, 2-21), Soumyajit Dutta (57) helped Balak Sangha beat Salkia Friends Association by 158 runs. Balak Sangha scored 264. In reply, Salkia Friends Association were bundled out for 106.
Debarun Biswas (54), Nirmal Acharjee (48), Akash Mondal (47), Subhadip Sarkar (40 not out) helped Vijay Sports Club beat Bengal Sporting Club by 2 wickets. Bengal Sporting Club scored 333/7. In reply, Vijay Sports Club chased it down scoring 334/8. Shivam Chattopadhyay bagged 3 wickets.
