Bengal Senior Women's team receives
grand welcome at Kolkata airport

Bengal Senior Women's team, who displayed an outstanding performance finishing as runners-up in the domestic One-Day Trophy, received a grand welcome on arrival at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata on Tuesday.
CAB Tour, Fixture & Technical Committee Chairman Sanjay Das and other CAB officials, who were present to receive the Bengal team, congratulated all the members of the squad.
On Monday, the team’s dream run at the One-Day Trophy came to an end as Madhya Pradesh secured the title with a seven-wicket victory in the summit clash in Rajkot.
It was hard luck in the final, but Bengal was superb in the entire tournament, chasing down record totals in the quarterfinals and semifinals.
The presence of India legend Jhulan Goswami as a mentor in the team was a big factor in side’s consistent performance.
Bengal, led by Saika Ishaque and coached by Probal Dutta, finished as runners-up in both the T20 and One-Day Trophy this season.
