2 to put Bengal on top in Vijay Merchant Trophy

Ankush Chakraborty scored a crucial unbeaten 44 off 68 at the end of Bengal’s innings while the bowlers ran through the Pondicherry batting order to put team on top at stumps on Day 2 in the Vijay Merchant Trophy match in Surat on Sunday.
After posting a competitive 281 in their first innings, Bengal Under-16 team reduced Pondicherry to 118/6 at the end of second day’s play. Pondicherry still trail by 163 runs.
Aritra Chakraborty (2-30) was the pick of the bowlers for Bengal while Sachin Yadav, Akash Tarafdar and Agastya Shukla bagged a wicket each.
