In the CAB First Division League two-day encounters on Saturday, both the batsmen and bowlers dominated on Day 2, displaying some outstanding performances.
In the first match, Jagmohan Gupta (156 not out), Lokesh Kumar Sharma (61) helped Anandabazar Patrika Sports Club beat Monohar Pukur Milan Samity by 8 wickets. Shaban Khan (101) helped Monohar Pukur Milan Samity post 259. Jitender Shaw bagged 5 for 82. In reply, Anandabazar Patrika Sports Club scored 263/2.
In other matches, Ajmer Singh (158), Md Adib (3-44) helped Dalhousie Athletic Club beat BNR Recreation Club by 50 runs. Dalhousie Athletic Club posted 360. In reply, despite a brilliant 168 by Abhijit Bhagat, BNR Recreation Club fell short scoring 310.
Atanu Ghosh (103 not out), Jayveer (70), Sunny Singh (6-68) helped Sporting Union beat Indian Boys Athletic Club by 7 wickets. Indian Boys Athletic Club scored only 214. In reply, Sporting Union scored 217/3.
Amit Mishra (5-72), Ahsan Jamal (114), Aditya Varma (68), Soham Ghosh (57) helped Shyambazar Club beat Rajasthan Club by 74 runs. Shambazar Club scored score 314. In reply, Rajasthan Club scored 240.
Pravin Rokde (5-63, 29) and Shivam Dixit (5-71) helped YMCA (College Branch) beat Calcutta Port Trust Sports Club by 33 runs. Parvej Alam bagged 6 for 76 as YMCA (College Branch) were bowled out for 193. In reply, Calcutta Port Trust Sports Club were bundled out for just 160.
Milind Mandal (95, 3-44), Amit Gautam (118), helped Calcutta Police Club beat Netaji Subhas Institute by 137 runs. Calcutta Police posted 348/9. In reply, Netaji Subhas Institute scored 211.
