Ajmer (158), Amit (118), Sunny (6-68) star in First Division League Two-Day meet

In the CAB First Division League Group two-day encounters on Friday, both the batsmen and bowlers dominated on Day 1, displaying some outstanding performances.
In the first match, Ajmer Singh (158) helped Dalhousie Athletic Club post 360 at stumps. BNR Recreation Club’s P Someshwar Rao and Anirban Gupta bagged three wickets each.
In other matches, Amit Gautam (118), Milind Mandal (95) helped Calcutta Police Club post 348/9 at stumps. Netaji Subhas Institute’s Ayan Pal bagged 5 for 51.
Ahsan Jamal (114), Aditya Varma (68), Soham Ghosh (57) helped Shyambazar Club score 314 at stumps. Rajasthan Club’s Arjun Kumar bagged 3 for 44.
Sporting Union’s Sunny Singh bagged 6 for 68 as Indian Boys Athletic Club scored only 214. In reply, Sporting Union were 39/1 at stumps.
Shaban Khan (101) helped Monohar Pukur Milan Samity post 259. Jitender Shaw bagged 5 for 82. In reply, Anandabazar Patrika Sports Club scored 103 for no loss. Jagmohan Gupta scored unbeaten 63.
Parvej Alam bagged 6 for 76 as YMCA (College Branch) were bundled out for 193. In reply, Calcutta Port Trust Sports Club were 136/9 at stumps. Pravin Rokde bagged 5 for 52.
