Bengal script stunning victory in Vijay Merchant Trophy

Riding on a dominant performance by the bowlers, Bengal Under-16 team outclassed Baroda by an innings and 145 runs on the third and final day in the Vijay Merchant Trophy match in Surat on Tuesday.
After their first victory in four games with three draws so far, Bengal are currently in second spot in Elite Group E with 16 points.
Earlier, Bengal posted 315 in their first innings, thanks to Agastya Shukla (56), Ankush Chakraborty (51).
In reply, Baroda were bowled out for 105 in their first innings. Aritra Chakraborty (4-12), Akash Tarafdar (3-30), Sachin Yadav (2-31), Agastya (1-12) impressed with the ball for Bengal.
Following on, Baroda, in their second innings, were bundled out for just 65 to hand a massive victory to Bengal. Aritra (3-1), Agastya (3-10) and Sachin (3-11) were impressive with the ball for Bengal.
