In the CAB First Division Super League Group A encounters on Monday, both the batters and bowlers impressed.
In the first match in Barasat, Chinmay Jain (88 not out) and Gitimoy Basu (64 not out) helped Mohammedan Sporting Club score 177/2 at stumps on Day 2. Barisha Sporting Club’s Rahul Basfore bagged two wickets.
In the second match in Gayeshpur, Arun Chaprana (67 not out), Sayan Kumar Biswas (60) and Kaushik Ghosh (51) helped Kalighat Club score 245 in their first innings. United Club’s Sagen Murmu bagged the three wickets. In reply, United Club were 14/1 at stumps.
In the third match in Kalyani, Tapan Memorial Club were bowled out for 192 in their first innings. Kaif Ahmed top-scored with 70. East Bengal’s Sumit Mohanta bagged four wickets. In reply, East Bengal were 78/1 at stumps. Satyaki Dutta scored unbeaten 41.
In the fourth match at Deshbandhu Park, Town Club were 105/5 in their first innings at stumps. Aishik Patel scored 51. Mohun Bagan’s Pradeep Kumar bagged three wickets.
