Bengal bowlers strike back against Gujarat on
Day 1 in Cooch Behar Trophy quarterfinals

Bengal Under-19 team bowlers pulled things back by taking wickets in the back end of the Gujarat innings but the visitors managed to post 321/6 in their first innings at stumps on Day 1 in the Cooch Behar Trophy quarterfinals at the Eden Gardens on Sunday.
Rudra Pritesh Patel scored a fine unbeaten 164 off 211 balls along with Vedant Trivedi (77).
After the visitors were reduced to 60/3, Rudra and Vedant added a much-needed 197 runs for the fourth wicket to take Gujarat past 250.
For Bengal, Shivamm Bharati (2-29), Vishal Bhati (2-85) and Yudhajit Guha (2-86) were the pick of the bowlers.
