Abishek’s sublime unbeaten 170 powers
Bengal to stunning win in Vijay Hazare Trophy

In one of the best knocks of his cricketing career so far, Abishek Porel smashed a brilliant unbeaten 170 off just 130 balls to single-handedly steer Bengal to a stunning six-wicket victory over Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy opener in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Enroute his maiden List A century, the talented wicket-keeper batsman struck 18 boundaries and seven massive sixes.
Earlier, put into bat, Delhi scored 272/7 in 50 overs. For Bengal, Mukesh Kumar (4-66) was impressive with the ball while Sayan Ghosh and Kaushik Maity bagged one wicket each.
In reply, Abishek, despite losing partners at the other end, kept scoring freely and remained unbeaten at the end to take team over the line.
Bengal chased the target down comfortably, scoring 274/4 in 41.3 overs. Anustup Majumdar (37) and skipper Sudip Kumar Gharami (23) also scored crucial knocks.
