(3-26) star in CAB 1st Div One-Day meet

Kumartuli Institute, Kolkata Union Sporting Club and Sporting Union registered easy wins in their respective league-stage matches of the CAB First Division One-Day league-cum-knockout tournament on Monday.
In the first match, Harsimar Singh Patheja (86), Pawan (3-41), Vivek Kumar Singh (2-27), Anish Dutta (2-22), Ali Ahmed (2-21) helped Kumartuli Institute beat Anandabazar Patrika Sports Club by 22 runs. Sohaib Akhtar and Aditya Kumar Giri bagged three wickets each. Batting first, Kumartuli Institute scored 208/6. In reply, Anandabazar Patrika Sports Club scored 186/9.
In other matches, Anik Nandi (3-10, 24), Kaif Abbas (4-13) helped Kolkata Union Sporting Club beat Uttarpalli Milan Sangha by 4 wickets. Batting first, Uttarpalli Milan Sangha scored just 85. In reply, Kolkata Union Sporting Club scored 87/6. Faizanul Rehman bagged 4 for 26.
Vipin Chandra (3-26), Ankush Sur (2-22) and Jayesh Kumar Singh (2-5) helped Sporting Union beat Belgachia United Club by 6 wickets. Batting first, Belgachia United Club were bundled out for 118. In reply, Sporting Union scored 121/4. Rajdeep Paswan scored 46 while B Arun bagged 3 for 34.
