Mita’s unbeaten 91 powers Bengal to
second win in Sr Women’s One-Day Trophy

Riding on Mita Paul’s brilliant unbeaten 91 off 96 balls, Bengal outclassed Tripura by 5 wickets on Tuesday to register their second victory of the Senior Women's One-Day Trophy.
After two wins from three games so far, Bengal currently are in second spot in Group E with eight points.
Enroute her match-winning knock, Mita smashed eight boundaries.
Prativa Mandi, who made her debut for Bengal, received her cap from India legend Jhulan Goswami.
Batting first, Tripura scored 224/8 in 50 overs, thanks to Mouchaity Debnath (111 not out).
Dhara Gujjar (2-18), Saika Ishaque (2-33), Chandrima Biswas (2-43), Mita (1-41) were the pick of the bowlers for Bengal.
In reply, Bengal chased the target down, scoring 226/5 in 48.3 overs. Dhara Gujjar (46), Tanushree Sarkar (31), Hrishita Basu (28 not out) impressed with the bat for Bengal.
