Bengal on top in Vijay Merchant Trophy

After Atmaja Mondal (113) and Rajesh Mondal (107) smashed brilliant centuries, the bowlers joined the party to put Bengal Under-16 team in a commanding position at end of Day 2 against Tamil Nadu in the Vijay Merchant Trophy match in Surat on Saturday.
Agastya Shukla (59 not out), Rajdip Khan (20) and Sachin Yadav (19 not out) also impressed as Bengal scored a massive 428/6 decl in their first innings.
In reply, Tamil Nadu were struggling at 68/5 at stumps, still trailing by a massive 360 runs. For Bengal, Akash Tarafdar and Ankush Chakraborty bagged two wickets each while Sachin claimed one.
