Krishnendu (102), Raju (5-40), Rahul (63, 2-21) impress in CAB 1st Div One-Day meet

Kolkata Union Sporting Club, Uttarpalli Milan Sangha, Sporting Union, Netaji Subhas Institute and Aikya Sammilani registered easy wins in their respective league-stage matches of the CAB First Division One-Day league-cum-knockout tournament on Saturday.
In the first match, Krishnendu Goswami (102), Saurabh Tripathi (3-28), Sourav Chakraborty (64) helped Uttarpalli Milan Sangha beat Belgachia United Club by 93 runs. Batting first, Uttarpalli Milan Sangha scored 252/7. In reply, Belgachia scored 159. B Arun and Adim Shahab bagged three wickets each.
In other matches, Raju Halder (5-40), Irshad Rahim (50) helped Netaji Subhas Institute beat Dalhousie Athletic Club by 53 runs. Batting first, Netaji Subhas Institute scored 234/9. In reply, Dalhousie Athletic Club scored 181. Venkat Jaiswal and Md Adib bagged three wickets each.
Chandan Singh (73), Sumit Rajak (3-52), Abhijit Biswas (2-27), Vivek Singh (2-32) helped Kolkata Union Sporting Club beat Kumartuli Institute by 2 wickets. Batting first, Kumartuli Institute scored 200. In reply, Kolkata Union Sporting Club scored 201/8. Sayan Paul scored 52.
Vipin Chandra (3-21), Atul Singh Surwar (71 not out), Sunny Singh (3-32) helped Sporting Union beat Anandabazar Patrika Sports Club by 7 wickets. Batting first, Anandabazar Patrika Sports Club scored 147. In reply, Sporting Union scored 152/3.
Rahul Prasad (63 not out, 2-21), Anas Ali Khan (80), Suvam Sur (2-24) helped Aikya Sammilani beat Dakshin Kalikata Sansad by 58 runs. Karan Singh bagged three wickets. Batting first, Aikya Sammilani scored 240/8. In reply, Dakshin Kalikata Sansad scored 182.
