Anshuman (103) star in CAB 1st Div One-Day meet

Bhukailash Sporting Club, Police Athletic Club, Calcutta Police Club and E.Rly.Sports Association registered easy wins in their respective league-stage matches of the CAB First Division One-Day league-cum-knockout tournament on Friday.
In the first match, A brilliant knock by Gaurav Jathar (134 not out off 125) went in vain as Aryan Club went down to Calcutta Police Club by 4 wickets. Rohit Prodhan scored 57 while Ravikanth Shukla scored 41. Batting first, Aryan Club scored 244/9. In reply, Calcutta Police Club scored 245/6.
In other matches, Paikpara Sporting Club’s Prashant Awasthi (103 not out off 86), Samanvay Dixit (4-11), Ayush Sahai (3-31) impressed while Monohar Pukur Milan Samity’s Rahul Sen (80) and Kuldeep Mishra (5-11) starred as the match between the teams ended in a tie. Batting first, Monohar Pukur Milan Samity scored 182. In reply, Paikpara scored 182.
Anshuman Pandey (103 not out off 85), Amar Chaudhary (2-34), Saurabh Srivastav (64 not out) helped Bhukailash Sporting Club beat Indian Boys Athletic Club by 6 wickets. Nabankur Ghosh scored a fine 94. Batting first, Indian Boys Athletic Club scored 272/5. In reply, Bhukailash Sporting Club scored 275/4.
Ayush Ghosh (71 off 48), Saurav Kumar (3-49), Sanjeev Goswami (53) helped Police Athletic Club beat BNR Recreation Club by 1 wicket. Batting first, BNR Recreation Club scored 283/6. In reply, Police Athletic Club scored 284/9. Mohammad Irfan scored 91.
Tanmoy Pramanick (20, 4-30), Ketan Singh (43) helped E.Rly.Sports Association beat Shyambazar Club by 5 wickets. Batting first, Shyambazar Club scored 146/8. In reply, E.Rly.Sports Association scored 147/5.
