Atmaja (87*), Swastik (73) impress
for Bengal in Vijay Merchant Trophy

Riding on an excellent batting performance, Bengal U-16 team scored 231/2 in 90 overs at stumps on Day 1 against Tamil Nadu in the Vijay Merchant Trophy match in Surat on Friday.
Atmaja Mondal (87 not out) and Swastik Maiti (73) were superb with the bat for Bengal. In his 212-ball unbeaten innings, Atmaja hit 13 boundaries while Swastik struck 11 fours in 189-ball knock.
Besides the duo, Rajesh Mondal (40 not out) and opener Tanishq Goswami (27) also impressed.
