Sushmita bags 6 for Bengal in
Senior Women’s One-Day Trophy

On an off day for the Bengal batters, the bowlers led by Sushmita Ganguly (6-26) displayed an impressive show against Rajasthan in the Senior Women's One-Day Trophy in Jhajjar, Haryana, on Friday.
Despite a dominant show by the bowlers, Bengal went down to Rajasthan by 25 runs in their second match of the campaign.
Put into bat, Rajasthan were bundled out for just 149 in 49.5 overs. Besides Sushmita, Saika Ishaque and Tanushree Sarkar bagged two wickets each.
In reply, Bengal came close to the target but fell short, scoring 124 in 40.5 overs. Mita Paul (45) and Tanushree (32) were the pick of the batters. SS Kalal bagged four wickets for Rajasthan.
