Sunny (4-6), Vijay (77), Tanay (70), Md Shoeb (4-18) impress in CAB 1st Div One-Day meet

Sporting Union, Dalhousie Athletic Club, Anandabazar Patrika Sports Club, Kolkata Union Sporting Club, Netaji Subhas Institute registered easy wins in their respective league-stage matches of the CAB First Division One-Day league-cum-knockout tournament on Saturday.
In the first match, Sunny Singh (4-6), Jayveer (35) helped Sporting Union beat Kumartuli Institute by 6 wickets. Batting first, Kumartuli Institute were bundled out for 100. In reply, Sporting Union scored 101/4.
In other matches, Vijay Sahni (77), Sunil Dalal (3-18), Md Adib (64, 2-27) helped Dalhousie Athletic Club beat Tollygunge Agragami by 69 runs. Batting first, Dalhousie Athletic Club scored 245/9. In reply Tollygunge Agragami scored 176. Rupankar Ghosh Dastidar (3-61) and Agastya Agarwal (50) impressed.
Tanay Bag (70), Anuj Pal (2-17), Somen Chakraborty (68) helped Anandabazar Patrika Sports Club beat Uttarpalli Milan Sangha by 115 runs. Batting first, Anandabazar Patrika Sports Club scored 227/5. In reply, Uttarpalli Milan Sangha scored 112.
Sumit Rajak (3-13), Somen Mahanti (40), Anik Nandi (39, 2-36) helped Kolkata Union Sporting Club beat Belgachia United Club by 42 runs. Kolkata Union Sporting Club scored 206/9. In reply, Belgachia United Club scored 164.
Md Shoeb Khan (16, 4-18), Anup Samaddar (47), Dipanjan Mukherjee (3-8) helped Netaji Subhas Institute beat Calcutta Port Trust Sports Club by 33 runs. Batting first, Netaji Subhas Institute scored 134. In reply, Calcutta Port Trust Sports Club scored only 101. Parvej Alam bagged 4 for 26.
