Karan’s brilliant 94 powers Bengal
past Bihar in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy

Karan Lal smashed a superb unbeaten 94 off just 47 balls to help Bengal outclass Bihar by 9 wickets in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in Rajkot on Tuesday.
After their fifth victory in six games so far in the tournament, Bengal are currently placed in the second spot in Group A with 20 points.
Batting first, Bihar managed to post 147/6 in 20 overs, thanks to S Gani (79).
For Bengal, Sayan Ghosh bagged two wickets while Mohammed Shami, Prayas Ray Barman, and Shabaz Ahmed claimed one each.
In reply, a brilliant batting effort by Karan helped Bengal chase down the target easily, scoring 150/1 in 14 overs.
Karan, who struck nine boundaries and 6 sixes, was well supported by skipper Sudip Kr Gharami (32 not out off 27) and Abhishek Porel (19).
