impress in Inter District Sr Men’s One-Day meet

Murshidabad DSA and Jalpaiguri DSA registered easy victories in their respective Round Two matches in the CAB Inter District Senior Men’s One-Day Tournament on Monday.
In the first match, a brilliant unbeaten 104 by Midnapore DSA’s Sarthak Bala went in vain as Jalpaiguri DSA displayed a superb effort with the bat to win the match by 4 wickets.
Avidipta Bose (60 off 33), Bhaskar Roy (47), Mukul Roy (4-43) impressed for Jalpaiguri DSA. Batting first, Midnapore DSA scored 272/7 in 29 overs. In reply, Jalpaiguri DSA chased it down comfortably scoring 273/6 in 29 overs.
In the second match, Aniket Ghosh (38, 2-28), Soumik Ghosh (25 not out, 2-15), Rahul Hazra (2-7) helped Murshidabad DSA beat Malda DSA by 41 runs.
Batting first, Murshidabad DSA scored 125/7 in 21 overs. In reply, Malda DSA were bundled out for 84 in 18.3 overs. Ijaj Uddin and Jhantu Sanyal bagged three wickets each.
