cherish for the city cricketers

On a bright Sunday afternoon, the youngsters playing club-level cricket at different city Maidan had a moment to treasure for life when they witnessed a cricketing legend walk around the Maidan.
It might be a dream for the others but for the young cricketers present today it was a reality, as legendary batsman and former India captain Sourav Ganguly took a casual walk around the Maidan, home to Kolkata’s Cricket League, to make it a memorable moment for all cricket lovers.
Witnessing a legend of his stature watch a match from the sidelines is a dream for many, but the cricketers playing at 1st Division and 2nd Division club-level league matches at the Bata Sports, YMCA, Town, Rangers, Federation and other grounds were truly motivated.
The Dada of Indian cricket, besides inspiring the young cricketers, also took time to met, greet and interact with the match officials at the grounds, which was also a moment to savor for them.
With Bengal cricket already scaling higher with each passing year, a legendary visit like this will surely inspire these young cricketers to make something special in the days to come.
