Barisha Sporting Club, United Club, East Bengal Club, Bhowanipore Club and Kalighat Club registered easy victories in their respective league-stage matches in the CAB First Division One-Day League-cum-knockout tournament on Friday.
In the first match, Sayan Shekhar Mandal (111 off 109), Kaushik Maity (3-23, 65 not out) helped Kalighat Club beat Md Sporting Club by 8 wickets. Batting first, Md Sporting scored 201/7. In reply, Kalighat Club scored 205/2.
In other matches, Kazi Junaid Saifi (106 off 117), Balkesh Yadav (2-32) helped Barisha Sporting Club beat Tapan Memorial Club by 85 runs on virtue of higher run-rate. Batting first, Barisha Sporting Club scored 264/6. In reply, Tapan Memorial scored 179/5. Aditya Sharma scored 64.
Sandipan Das (108 not out), Sumit Mohanta (3-6), Vikas Singh (3-30) helped East Bengal Club beat Town Club by 89 runs. Batting first, East Bengal Club scored 225/7. In reply, Town Club scored 136.
Sukhmeet Singh (5-21), Rahul Tomar (116 off 93), Rohit Choudhari (3-20) helped United Club beat Calcutta Customs Club by 201 runs. Batting first, United Club scored 293/7. In reply, Calcutta Customs Club scored 92.
Shubham Chaubey (39), Rajkumar Pal (3-26), Deepak Kumar (3-38), Prinann Dutta (39) helped Bhowanipore Club beat Kidderpore Sporting Club by 2 wickets. Batting first, Kidderpore Sporting Club scored 198. In reply, Bhowanipore scored 201/8. Samik Karmakar scored 54.
