Kuldeep’s hattrick feat

Kuldeep Yadav joined the select club of Indian bowlers to have scored a hat-trick in the ODIs. The other two are Chetan Sharma and Kapil Dev.
Kuldeep secured the hattrick against the Aussies in the second ODI when he bowled Matthew Wade, caught Ashton Agar leg before and then got Pat Cummins caught behind to one that turned sharply.
Chetan Sharma scored the first hat-trick at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Ground, Nagpur on 31st October 1987 during the World Cup claiming the wickets of Ken Rutherfod, Ian Smith and Ewen Chatfield.
Kapil Dev completed the feat at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on 4th January, 1991 taking wickets of Roshan Mahanama, Rumesh Ratnayake and Sanath Jayasuriya of the touring Sri Lanka side.
Kuldeep Yadav registered his name officially among the legends of Indian cricket not only as the third bowler to have achieved a hat-trick in a one day internationals, but also the second cricketer to do it at the Eden Gardens. Harbhajan Singh got a hattrick against the rampaging Aussies in the historic Test match at Eden Gardens that saw the giant partnership between VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid halting the men from Down Under.
