Dominant Bengal clinch third straight victory in Cooch Behar Trophy

Riding on a superb all-round performance, Bengal Under-19 team outclassed Saurashtra by an innings and 87 runs on Friday to register their third successive victory in the Cooch Behar Trophy campaign.
After wins against Mumbai, Gujarat and Saurashtra, Bengal are on top of the Elite Group B with 20 points from three matches.
Akshaz Giri (137), Ankit Chatterjee (74), Yudhajit Guha (6-57, 2-38), Vishal Bhati (5-48), Debangshu Pakhira (2-15, 2-46) were the star performers for Bengal against Saurashtra at the Eden Gardens.
Earlier, after bowling out Saurashtra for just 94, Bengal posted a massive 428 to bag a huge first-innings lead.
In their second innings, Saurashtra were bundled out for 247 on the third day to hand a comfortable win to the home side. Manish Yadav (82) top-scored for the visitors.
