Aryan Club, Netaji Subhas Institute, Ballygunge United Club and Shibpur Institute registered comfortable victories in their respective league-stage matches in the J.C Mukherjee T20 Tournament on Thursday.
In the first match, Priyanshu Gautam (4-26), Md Tarique Anwar (3-17), Wahid Mahfooz (48) helped Ballygunge United Club beat Kolkata Union Sporting Club by 7 wickets. Chandan Singh scored 54. Batting first, Kolkata Union Sporting Club scored 117/9. In reply, Ballygunge United Club scored 120/3.
In other matches, Irshad Rahim (56 not out), Md Shoeb Khan (2-10), Dipanjan Mukherjee (48) helped Netaji Subhas Institute beat Bhukailash Sporting Club by 6 wickets. Batting first, Bhukailash Sporting Club scored 138/5. In reply, Netaji Subhas Institute scored 141/4. Vinayakan Nair (54) and Abhishek Yadav (52) impressed.
Sayan Mukherjee (43 off 22), Gautam Raghuvansi (21, 1-18), Bapi Manna (1-15) helped Aryan Club beat Paikpara Sporting Club by 4 wickets. Batting first, Paikpara Sporting Club scored 129/6. In reply, Aryan Club scored 135/6. Saurabh Singh scored 54 while Ayush Sahai bagged 2 for 32.
Amit Kr Pandey (3-19), Rahul Sharma (3-35), Shivang Agarwal (29), Aditya Yadav (2-34) helped Shibpur Institute beat Rajasthan Club by 27 runs. Akshay Saini scored 51. Batting first, Shibpur Institute scored 158/6. In reply, Rajasthan Club scored 131.
