Shashank (81), Prayas (3-59) impress for Bengal in Col C K Nayudu Trophy

Shashank Singh played a fighting 81 while skipper Prayas Ray Barman bagged 3 for 59 for Bengal Under-23 against Himachal Pradesh in the Col C K Nayudu Trophy match at the Eden Gardens on Sunday.
After bowling out HP for 294, Bengal posted a massive 425 in their first innings to bag the all-important first innings lead.
In reply, Himachal Pradesh, in their second innings, were 244/4 at stumps on Day 3 with a lead of 113 runs. Kabir A Singh (70 not out), Mridul P Surroch (66) and Amanpreet V Singh (51 not out) were the pick of the batsmen for HP.
Besides Prayas’s three wickets, Ravi Kumar (1-26) impressed for Bengal.
