Ishan bags 4 as Bengal bag 1st innings lead vs Karnataka in Ranji Trophy

Ishan Porel (4-54) led the bowling attack from the front with an impressive performance as Bengal were in a commanding position at the end of the third day against Karnataka in their Ranji Trophy Elite Group C match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Friday.
Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal (3-65), debutant Rishav Vivek (2-46) helped Bengal bundle out Karnataka for 221 in their first innings to grab the all-important first innings lead. Bengal earlier posted 301 in their first innings.
In their second innings, Bengal were 127/3 at stumps on Day 3 with a challenging lead of 207 runs.
Sudip Chatterjee (48) and Shuvam Dey (30) impressed while Sudip Kumar Gharami (25 not out) and Shahbaz Ahmed (12 not out) remained unbeaten at the end of the day's play.
