Ashutosh, Ankit tons power Bengal to
292/5 vs Mumbai in Cooch Behar Trophy

Riding on brilliant centuries each by Ashutosh Kumar (113 not out) and Ankit Chatterjee (108), Bengal Under-19 team posted 292/5 in their first innings at stumps on Day 1 against Mumbai in the Cooch Behar Trophy at the Eden Gardens on Wednesday.
In his 244-ball innings, Ashutosh hit 20 boundaries while Ankit smashed 20 boundaries and 2 sixes in his 115-ball knock.
"Ashutosh and Ankit both have shown a fighting mindset against a good team. I am happy with the performance. This is just the start. We now have to continue playing well," Bengal head coach Sourashish Lahiri said after the day's play.
Abhiprai Biswas (11 not out) and Ashutosh remained unbeaten at the end of the day's play for the home side.
Interestingly, eight players made their debut today for Bengal in the Cooch Behar Trophy. Ankit, Akshaz Giri, Vishal, Raju R, Debangshu Pakhira, Rohit, Ashutosh and Abhiprai.
For Mumbai, Hrishikesh Gore and Harsh D More bagged two wickets each.
