Bengal target maximum points
against Karnataka in Ranji Trophy

5th November 2024
Bengal will aim to bag maximum points when they take on Karnataka in their fourth Ranji Trophy Elite Group C match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday.
Bengal are currently placed in fourth spot in the points table with five points from three games.
After bagging three points from their opening match, Bengal managed to pocket one point each from their next two fixtures against Bihar and Kerala.
“We as a team will give our best against Karnataka. Boys are confident and it will be a good game tomorrow,” Bengal head coach Laxmi Ratan Shukla said.
Bengal will be without three of their star players, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Mukesh Kumar and Abishek Porel for the second successive game. In their absence, it will be a chance for the other players to step up and perform.
Experienced opener Sudip Chatterjee will aim to continue his fine form. In Easwaran’s absence, Shuvam Dey will look to make an impact after scoring a half-century in his debut match against Kerala.
Skipper Anustup Majumdar and Wriddhiman Saha will look to get runs under their belt.
In Mukesh’s absence, the onus will be on fast bowling duo of Ishan Porel and Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal while Rishav Vivek is likely to get a chance.
